BoardEngine service will not stop

Hi,

I'm running Board 12.2.0.0.67608 on-premise.

I need to change the diagnostic log level settings in the config files, but when I try to stop the BoardEngine I get an error,

Windows could not stop the Board Engine service on Local Computer. Error 1061: The service cannot accept control messages at this time.

The service then stays in the running state.
If this helps I add that the service is configured to preload the mail BI database.

Should I simply kill the process (will this corrupt the database)?

Hi Fabiano,

I would make an backup from all databases then kill the service. That way even if one of the database get corrupted you can simply restore it from the backup.
