Function to set fiscal year entity code

Hi everyone,

 

If Board could set the Fiscal Year (FY) code when creating new DB,

it would be more useful for users having FY other than the calendar year.

 

Please take a look !

 

 

Current workaround on Board:

1)What we can do

• Select the beginning month of the FY and set the FY description.

 

2)What we cannot do

• Set the code of the FY on creating a DB.
• Edit the FY code from user’s side.

 

Current issue:

• There is a difference between the FY code and description.

  =>This will lead to an unexpected issue when maintaining the DB.

    To avoid this, we seriously need somewhere to fix this gap.

       

      ex) In Japan, FY 2020 starts from April, 2020.

If we set this on Board, the desc. is 2020 and the code will be 2021.(image.png)

 

Idea:

• Add a place in the ‘create data model wizard’ where we can set the FY code.

I wonder if this issue is happening only in Japan or not.
