Optimization of formatting functionalities

Hello community,
here are a few points/functionalities that could improve formatting functionalities in board:
- Allow text variables in block headers
We would like to use text variables in block header (e.g. @Year). Currently we are using workarounds to solve this (@selection if possible (a specific refer-to in block is needed) or an additional data view that „fakes“ the header)… - Allow offsets in text variables
We would like to use offsets in combination with text variables in labels. Currently we are using complex layouts behind the label to solve easy requirements… - Formatting for entity column
We would also like to format the entity column in a data view as it is possible for blocks.
E.g. the “Total row” is supposed to be bold. Total block cells can be formatted “bold” via block format but regarding the “Total”-cell you can only format font color and background color. - Block-Formatting vs. Row-Formatting
We would like to oversteer the formatting of a row (that was configured via Data Model -> Format). In the current setup the row format always beats the block format. In some cases the column should win… - Configure row height in a data view
We would like to set the row height individually in a data view and provide more space between text and cell border. At the moment the height is triggered by font size, but sometimes texts are cut off. - Allow dynamic block formatting for cells with numbers (algorithm type numeric)
Quite often we need to show prefixes and suffixes dynamically depending on the key figure in the row (e.g. show a “+” for a positive delta or add a “%” for a ratio key figure etc.) of a view.
In this context text fields work fine – unfortunately the numeric standard formatting is lost when a number is converted to a text (e.g. thousand separators or a “,0” is lost). We create complex workarounds with formulas to get these signs back. It would be very helpful if it would be possible to format a number in the desired way as it is possible in Excel…
- Adjust spacing of bars in a bar chart
We would like to adjust the spacing of the bars / blocks within a series of a bar chart. At the moment we use the series border to adjust here, but this affects also the lower horizontal line of a bar disconnecting the bar from the category axis…
Thanks in advance and best regards,
