1. What is your idea?

Allow parallel use of Board Web and the Board Office AddIn. If you try to do this in parallel (open up your browser and use Excel with other layouts), you will receive an error message ("logged in elsewhere").

2. What specific problem are you trying to find a solution to, or what new scenario would this idea respond to?

Some of our customers still work with the Windows client and use the Office AddIn in addition. This is working fine as long as they use the same computer -so you can use Board and Excel with Board at the same time.
This is not possible anymore when you are switching from WinClient to the Web only.

3. What workaround have you found and used so far (if any)?

None.

 4. What is your role in your organization?

I'm a support consultant, responsible for many of our customers having this requirement.

5. Suggested solution

Actually, it would be enough that the Office-AddIn "tells" the Board server that this is an Office license.
The board server then checks if "MSOffice" is checked for this user (security profile) and checks if there are active sessions for it.
So the license tracking would simply be extended by one point.
