Board Chat Management

On the Board web client we have encouraged our users to communicate more through the chat.
We have found that with proper user metadata set, and group chat, it can be used as a powerful communication tool.
However it has limitation that reduce it's potential and should be addressed in future evolutions.
1. Better chat group management
In the latest version (11.3) it is possible to add members to a group chat, however it is not possible to remove users from a group chat. This mean that if a chat is used by a team all members invited to the chat (past and present) can still receive chat.
I.e: If you have chat used by regions, a user moving to a new region will still receive messages from his previous region.
Currently, the only way to avoid this is to create a new chat group and let the previous one but on the long run it is not practical.
2.Having the possibility to delete chat
Chat cannot be deleted. They will drown down the list but users have not possibility to delete open chats.
This can create along list of open chat for users (even by accident is clic on the wrong name)
3.Organizing users by group
In the current system, every user can see all users in the system.
A better group function would make easier communication between users in large organization where a user can only see and communicate with people from his assigned group.
In the past several proposition similar to this one were made.
