Hi All,

during a presentation of a process mining tool I saw a pretty neat object and thought that maybe this could be replicated in Board: A selector that allows you to choose the entity you want use in a drop-down.

What could this look like?

The object would be divided into an upper and a lower part. In the upper part you would choose the entity that you would like to make a selection on. The lower part would act like the vertical list selector we already know in Board today. The result could be something like this:

How is this useful?

Some screens or dashboards look quite cluttered because of the many selectors users want to have. With some kind of a multi-selector you could have only one object without sacrificing functionality. This would save a lot of space on the screen and guarantee a cleaner design.

Feel free to comment and vote up, if you like the idea.

Thanks & kind regards,

Gerrit

  • Thank you for sharing your idea, Gerrit. We understand the need of this solution.

We are working on a new version of the embedded select window, where we will introduce new enhancements. So you don't need to add objects on the screen but you can lean on the selector. This idea is currently being evaluated and is part of our development roadmap.

We encourage you to continue submitting your ideas and suggestions in the future, as we are always open to hearing new perspectives and feedback.

  • Hi! This new object is something we need in all our projects at the moment. Are there any news on when it would be released?
