Interactive Select Option

Options

SCENARIO:

We have a procedure to navigate from the home screen to a planning screen.

Before the "go to screen" step, there are several selections that are required to ensure the screen opens with the desired information / planning detail level.

Some of the selections are made using a simple interactive select, others are made by first performing a "select based on" step, followed by an interactive the select.

The customer has to make 4 interactive selections before being taken to the screen.

For some of the interactive selections, NONE of the members are selected and the user needs to make a selection. For other interactive selections, ALL of the members are selected and the customer needs to uncheck/de-select members. This is shown in the following screenshots:

PROBLEM:

Some users find it confusing, stating it is not user-friendly to have this inconsistency in the selection windows.

PROPOSAL:

When creating an interactive select step in a procedure, the option to have the selection window appear with members unselected by default, or selected by default.

    Hi Michael,

you can workaround this issue as follows:

The members will be displayed as checked in the interactive window, when you have pre-selected them in the procedure with a dynamic select, or a standard select on the respective Entity

They will be displayed as not checked if you
    - either limit the items that should be offered indirectly, through the member of an aggregated entity,
    - or you can limit the memebers via select based on cube step in the procedure.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need more information.

    Kind regards

    Philipp
