The idea is as simple as the title suggests: it would be nice to be able to hide columns for smart import.
It would be much easier to manage screens like this:

As a workaround, could you make the header color transparent?
But I do agree with you that it would be useful with a setting to hide headers, just like there's for a Dataview.
