Easier management of RULES

Often we need to delegate the management of the RULES to some User.

In order to make it easier, it could be helpful to have a way to access and edit the RULES w/o accessing to the related DB area.

Just for example, this can be solved using a standard Board Report (see below) where the RULE can be visualized and/or defined, using a TXT cube for instance, then saved it.

  • Hi Andrea,

This is a great idea, to be able to define rules without a change in with the user licences.

Totally agree, since this is possible with NEXEL why shouldn't it be possible with rules too?

@Matthew Brown this could be helpful to have an easy way to check and manage rules.

  • Hi, thanks for the tips @Andrea Scazzosi.

I have a question, how can we manage three different rules in the same layout? Each one for a different situation, based on the same entity.

  • Agree! Furthermore, it would allow the User to compare Formulas (several complex Rules on the same Entity) e.g., OR-Statement in Ratio-Calculation etc.. This has a positive side-effect on the maintainability as well.
