Did you know that International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century? The first gathering dates back to 1911 and was supported by over a million people. We think that's worth celebrating!

Today, International Women's Day is recognized globally on March 8, recognizing women's achievements and setting a call to action for accelerating women's equality. This year's theme is 'Inspire Inclusion'— recognizing that when we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.

According to the IWD organization, this year's theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected. Inspire Inclusion encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life.

Inspire Inclusion in the workplace centers around the promotion of diversity in leadership and decision-making roles. Women continue to face barriers, but by championing inclusion through things like mentorship programs and advocacy campaigns, organizations can empower women to thrive and reach their full potential.

International Women's Day is a great time to pause and reflect. Ask yourself—what more can I do to support gender equality and inspire inclusion at work and in my day-to-day life? By championing inclusivity, we honor the past and pave the way for a future where equality is a reality for all.

How are you recognizing International Women's Day today—and inspiring inclusion every day? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
