Mass popup message to all online users
We would like to request the reinstatement of a previously available feature that allowed for sending mass popup messages to all online users. This functionality was extremely useful and its absence has been notably felt for our customers.
Use Case Scenarios:
- Maintenance Mode: Urgently notify all users to cease application use during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring that no data is lost and system integrity is maintained.
- Service Resets: Allow administrators to warn users to save changes or pause operations 5 minutes prior to a system reset, enhancing user experience and data security.
Current Limitations:
Currently, the options to communicate with online users are insufficient:
- Chat: Unable to send a single message to all users simultaneously, particularly when user counts exceed 20, 50, 100.., making it impractical for larger installations.
- Discussion and Feed functionality (Cloud Customers Only): This feature does not allow you this neither.
Past Functionality:
In Board version 10, we were able to use this mass messaging feature effectively. It provided essential communication tools.
Reintegrating this capability would greatly benefit to our customers by ensuring that critical information is promptly and efficiently disseminated to all online users, regardless of their number. We believe reinstating this feature would enhance customer management and overall satisfaction.
