Hello everyone, I created a couple of cubes and none seem to have been populated. All have a file size of 0.0kb. I carefully followed all cube creation steps. Any ideas will help. Thans
Hi Walter,
Did you follow these instructions to create the cubes.
https://www.boardmanual.com/2023/summer/data-modeling/data-model-design-sections/cubes/creating-cube.htm?rhsearch=cube&rhhlterm=cube%20cubes
The cubes created will be 0.0 kb until data is loaded into it.
Thanks
Dom
@Dominique Duchenne Yes, I followed these instructions. I don't know why data is loaded into any of my cubes
Hi @Walter Please make sure that you didn't reuse a data model name that has been deleted before. In that case, all cubes will be showing file size 0.0k, even if there's data in the cubes.
Please note that RDB cubes do not store the data in the Board database but is physically stored in a table of an external relational database. Hence, the size will always be displayed with 0,0 Kb.
Without any further details regarding the MDB cubes it is not possible to support any further.
I agree—it would be most helpful to have a look at how the datareaders supposed to populate these cubes have been configured.
Regards Helmut
If you have loaded data via data readers, smart import or data entry and still they show as no data; then the first step you should try is to restart the service (or unload data model). This usually helps. If it is still an issue, contact Board Support.
Thank you all very much for your prompt responses. @Helmut Heimann my issue was at the level of cube configuration. I'm two weeks into board. Expect more questions form me
You're welcome, Walter!
