French characters (accent) displaying as symbols

Hello Friends,

We are currently facing issues with uploading of data which french accent caracters

  1. Cedilla (ç)
  2. Acute accent (é)
  3. Circumflex (â, ê, î, ô, û)
  4. Grave accent (à, è, ù)
  5. Trema (ë, ï, ü)

The accents are converted into strange symbols which should not be the case.

How do we overcome this issue.

    No we are not but we have both data french and english

    Hi,

    are you loading from txt files? If so did you check the encoding of the file itself and the setting in the datareader?

    as far as I know, json file can not be read

    Its a call from an API, so the response is Json. But the result is being saved in CSV format.

    Hello Khaleelah, I also work in French. You may try to modify the data encoding from utf-8 to Windows-1252 and see what you get. It already helped me a lot!
