Max occurrences shown in a @[entityname] label

Using a label with the caption set to @[entityname], it shows the codes of the selected occurrences up to a maximum of 12. From the 13th occurrence onward, it shows the number of selected items out of the total items in the entity (e.g., 14/5000).

Does anyone know how to display the latter format (selected/total) even for fewer than 13 selected items (always in a label)?
I looked online, but neither the manual nor the community has information about this.
