Level 204 : Can't see any data for Italy Units | Sales

BUILD THE SALES DATA MODEL : Run Data Reader to load sales data into empty TEMP Cubes

I followed the previous instruction and selected the "UK_Sales data" file + RUN.

Then, when I open my Capsule Screen, i can see data for UK. (see below)

After creating the selector buttons, and selecting "ITALY" in PLAY MODE, i can't see any data for Italy. I've reviewed and chosen the "IT_Sales data" in my data model, but it still doesnt work or appear on my Capsule Screen.

    Hi,

    I checked the details you have shared. Could you please check the following and let us know?

    1. Please check if the H - Material, H - Product, and H - Location Data Readers loaded successfully and no records were discarded. Valid Records should show 8 for H - Material, 36 for H - Product and 17 for H - Location.
    2. Is the mode set to Add New Item on the Salesperson field in the ACT - Units and Sales Data reader
    3. Is the mode set to ADD on the TEMP - ACT - DR - Sales LC and TEMP - ACT - DR - Units fields in the ACT - Units and Sales Data reader

    Otherwise I had another question, how can i load the UK_SALES_DATA.csv and the IT_SALES_DATA.csv to the same "ACT - Unit and Sales" data reader ?

    Or do I have to create another "ACT - Unit and Sales" data reader for Italy ?

    Hi @CynthiaCz ,

    you have set the values to be added to your sales data (Mode=ADD) which means that the datareader will add up the values that exist in the cube and those present in the file you load on the same dimensions combinations.

    You can use the same datareader for Italy and UK—when using "Italy" as country, only Italy's values will be added (and vice versa for the UK data).
    Just make sure that the cubes are cleared before you start the datareader because otherwise, that would—of course—double the existing values.

    Usually you would call a reader via procedure, setting the selection and file and "use current selection" ticked.
