The ability to quickly navigate large reports is essential for efficient data analysis and decision-making. In SAP BI, users can easily click through sections of a PDF report using the Group Tree, allowing for seamless navigation without excessive scrolling. Currently, Board does not offer a similar feature, making it challenging for users to locate specific sections in extensive reports.

This idea proposes implementing an indexing feature for both PDF and Excel exports in Board. For PDFs, a clickable navigation pane or tree structure would allow users to jump directly to different sections, similar to SAP BI’s Group Tree.

By incorporating indexing functionality, Board users would gain a more efficient and user-friendly way to navigate reports, reducing time spent searching for relevant data and enhancing overall productivity.

    This seems similar to a vertical selector that is in board, over the web which is extremely valuable. However, that that versatility is lost upon export. This would give board an advantage over other products that walk the tight rope between paginated reporting and online reporting.
