Database security profile lock out

I had a data model that I didn't have any database security profiles on and could work on. I needed to add some security to it so I first created an admin profile for myself with the following parameters:

Access Mode: Database Administrator

Security System: Builder

Security Filters: None

I named it ADMIN as that's what I've named it on all the other models. I saved and then it told me to adjust my role to be able to manage the model. So I went to my role, added the DB Profile for the data model to my role and saved it. When I go to access it, it still tells me that I don't have sufficient privileges to access that model. When I look in subscription hub, it doesn't show up under the data models that I have for my user.

I've looked through the manual but I can't see anything about trouble shooting this. What step am I missing?

  • Hi John,

In the System Administration, for your specific role, in case you have not done this previously, could you please add ADMIN under the section: "Default database security profile" (as per the screen shot below) save the role and check if you are able to access the database now?

Could you also please share the screen shot of the Data Model section of your Role in the System Administration?

Adding Admin to the default database security profile didn't solve it. It still says insufficient privileges.

Here is the DB profile. The two yellow ones are the databases that won't grant me permission.
