Drill to screen Selection

Hi,

We have the following dataview, where we have three entities: Products in rows and Months and Roles in columns.

We have enabled a Drill to screen to allow user to navigate to a second screen with a similar table, where the detail by subproduct is displayed in rows.

But, when we double click on a cell and navigate to this second screen, it only shows one role (planner or FPA) depending on the cell we double clicked. But all the months are displayed independently of the cell column we clicked.

We don't understand why this process filters one entity but not the other. The behavior is inconsistent from the user point of view.

Is there a way to manage the filters in a Drill to Screen? We would be fine applying filters on both or on non of the two entities. But only one is confusing.

Thanks Kassam,

I think it will work. We hadn't used that feature so far. We will reset the selection and add a Go To Screen through a Capsule procedure.

One more question, if we would be fine with the selection of the role and also would like to add the selection on the month, how can we do it? I mean if we double click on a cell under May x Planner, can we keep the selection on both entities in the new screen. At the moment we see that only the Role selection is kept.

I think you need to double-click in the yellow cells to keep all the roles. Please find attached the photo showing the yellow zone.

Thanks. That works too if we want to see all columns.

But how can we do to drill on Role and month when clicking on a cell? so far only the selection on role is kept as we explained above:

You just need to add one step before drilling 🙂
First, select the cell that contains the combination of Role, Month, and Product, like this:

Once you've selected the appropriate cell, then you can drill.
