Is it possible to use an RTF cube as the body for a Broadcast email?

Hi!

I'm working on a Broadcasting module for a solution and I'd like to let certain users create the body of their emails using data entry.

I've always done this with text cubes in the past, but I was wondering if it was possible to do the same with an RTF cube - since the Body editor in the Broadcast area appears to support this level of formatting.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

it should be possible to chose a block that contains an RTF cube for the body.

Hi Helmut,

It doesn't look like RTF blocks are selectable in the Broadcast settings:

In the above example, block "D" is the RTF cube.

Am I missing something?

sorry if I was not clear enough. What you should try instead, is the use of the custom body and then refer to the RTF block in the layout.

I've never tested that with an RTF cube and in the image above it's a BLOB with no specific extension (could contain all sorts of files).

Give it a try—and if it doesn't work, I'd suggest to open a new idea regarding this topic.

Hi Helmut,

I wasn't able to get this to work, but the suggestion of using a text cube with an RTF sub group worked like a charm!
