We’re pleased to announce the availability of Delegated Technical Contacts (Self-Managed) on the Board Cloud Status Page.
This new functionality is designed to help customers—especially Board partners—ensure that the right technical stakeholders stay informed about incidents, maintenances, and service reliability, while keeping clear ownership and control with the Primary Technical Contact.
What is a Delegated Technical Contact?
A Delegated Technical Contact is a technical contact managed by the Primary Technical Contact who:
- Receives incident and maintenance notifications and reliability alerts
- Has access to the Board Cloud Status Page and “my environment” section of a specific Board Cloud tenant
- Does not replace or override the Primary Technical Contact
- Cannot manage or invite other Delegated Technical Contacts
Delegated Technical Contacts are ideal for:
- Board partners supporting customer environments
- Internal customer teams needing visibility into service status
- Temporary stakeholders who require access to alerts and updates
Who can be a Delegated Technical Contact?
To be enrolled, a Delegated Technical Contact:
- Must be a Board Community member
- Must use an internal, corporate email address(personal email domains such as @gmail .com, @yahoo .com, etc. are not supported)
Invitation & Enrollment Flow
The enrollment process is fully managed by the Primary Technical Contact via:
My Environment → Manage Delegated Technical Contacts
How it works:
- The Primary Technical Contact sends an invitation using an internal email address
- If needed, the invited user registers in the Board Community
- The user accepts the invitation link
- Access to the Status Page, incident notifications, and reliability alerts is granted
If an invitation expires or is not received, it can be resent by the Primary Technical Contact.
Managing or Removing Delegated Technical Contacts
- The Primary Technical Contact can remove Delegated Technical Contacts at any time
- A Delegated Technical Contact may unfollow a tenant, which removes them from that tenant
- Only the Primary Technical Contact can invite them again
- Delegated contacts can also opt out of specific email notifications without being removed
