Unbalanced Heirachy - Loading data into Parent without data in child entity members

Question

Hi Team,

We have Unbalanced hierarchy and we want to load the data into parent without data in child.

eg: Here we have to load the data into Member 1.3 without data in child members 1.31 and 1.32.

Member 1.3

1.31

1.32

Member 1.4

we have tried different ways but if we disabled the unbalanced hierarchy we are able to see the data. but we have to keep unbalanced hierarchy  view in screen.

Hi Vanam, I'm afraid that's simply not how an unbalanced hierarchy works - an unbalanced hierarchy only holds values in the leaf nodes and those values roll up to the parents. As you've discovered it's possible to store a value against a parent if you disable the Unbalanced Hierarchy, because then you're treating the entity like a regular entity, but you won't be able to do so when it's being used an Unbalanced Hierarchy I'm afraid because that's not how one works.

Now Board will be able to display an unbalanced hierarchy, starting from a standard structure. All the intermediate members with only one parent will not be shown but will be shown directly leaf levels.

Hello @Vanam Pavan Kalyan

You cannot load data to parents and use the unbalanced hierarchy.

The workaround today is to create a technical leaf member under the parent, and load data to this member
