Drill Down layout configuration.

Dear Peers, I hope you all are well. I am working on the Board 14.5 bugs right now. I want to configure the layout which opens when I drill down on a column in data view. There are multiple entities in Axes, I want to make it flatten group to make the view easy to work with. Please help as I am unable to find this option. Find the snapshot below for your reference.

Hi Ananta,

Unfortunately, in Board 14.5, the Flatten Group option is not directly available inside the drill-down layout configuration itself. The drill-down layout inherits the structure from the Data View axes configuration.

If the entities are part of the same hierarchy (single tree), you can achieve a flattened view during drill-down by following this approach:

1. Open the original Data View.
2. In the Axes configuration, keep only the lowest-level entity in the axis.
3. Move the higher-level entities to the Data Block section instead of keeping them in the hierarchical axis.
4. If needed, create a separate layout with the entities structured in a flattened way (placing them at the same level instead of hierarchical grouping).
5. Link this customized layout to the drill-down action.

Alternatively, you may create a dedicated drill-down screen/layout with the required flattened structure and assign it explicitly to the drill action.

This way, although there isn’t a direct “Flatten Group” toggle in the drill configuration, you can control the view structure through the axis setup or a custom drill layout.
