Rule results from rows that are filtered out?

Hi all,

 

I created a rule on a 'reporting index' entity. That entity has a relation to a 'reporting index level' entity. All of the elements in level 1 are computed as sums from elements in level 2.

I want to be able to show/hide the second level - the sums of the first level need to stay though.

Is this realisable with selectors/pagers?

for those with the same problem, I have found out some more solutions:

• filtering with the filter in the dataview (not select), works
• changing the setup in the cube versioning works as shown in this example:

Hi Ray Martens,

 

I've done something similar with a filter cube and a pager triggering a procedure to filter the data according to the desired detail level.

 

...and it works--the rule will compute the data regardless of what is displayed. The line item detail level I've used here, however, is not linked to the entity line item (and I think that's the trouble you're facing).
