Hello citizens,

i'd like to know if there is a way to change the entity's name in the  dataview without changing it in the database ?

Thank you!

  • Dear Fethi Zerara,

    thanks for your request.

I´m sorry but there is no real way doing this.

The better question is your usecase you need it for?

    Thanks and regards

i'm trying to use the same entity in diffirent contexts , and i'd like to change the name of the entity in function of the context

    Thanks!

  • sorry, this is not possible.

Easiest workaround will be inserting the dimension with the second name redundantly and loading synchronous to the origin one.

When you define the relationships between origin and copy 1:1 you can solve your request.

But there is no other chance

    regards

I'm trying to hide the "Oups that i'm getting every time when i connect to the Web , you know the "Oupss" that you get before doing selections in order to display your dataview

  • well the easiest way will be doing some selections for the dimensions used in the axis. This will also raise your performance by opening the screen.

For the case the Layout is working when you do some selections the error is due to much dimensions to display before.

Another opportunity will be using Pager with NoAll instead a selector, this chooses the first valid element and perhaps this also solves your request.

I´m sorry that there isn´t any specific answer, because I don´t know the exact definition of your layout and your datamodel.

    Hope it helps

    regards
