Is there a way to have two dataviews on a screen for comparison but they show a different selections

This would be based on the dataviews being exactly the same for comparison purposes. I know I can put a dataview selection on but can I 'link' a selector to each dataview to select different entities from the same group. Ie. one dataview showing the UK and one showing the US then allowing the user to switch one of the dataviews to Germany without entering the layout of the dataview?
