Nexel: write in place and write back

Hello,

I would like to calculate a formula by Nexel and then to write its result in a cube.

I have tried using both the write in place and write back functionality, but I didn't reach my goal. The result showed in the data view is correct, but it's not stored in the cube.

Can someone help me to understand why it doesn't work?

Thanks a lot,

Giulia

    Hi,

is the nexelformula defined on the cube, you want to write the data back? Have you enabled DataEntry on this Cube?

Do you get a "green" flag in the layout for this cube (so you're on depest level for all entities, which are included in the cube)?

    Regards

    Björn

  • Hi @Björn Reuber,

yes, I want to write the data back.

The cube is enabled for data entry and the "Formulas in" is setted as Deepest enityt rule.

I don't have the green flag on the Layout, but I have enabled the Pattern based allocation pointing at a cube that has same dimensions and it's properly filled in.

I have tried also setting "Formulas in" pointing at a text cube containing the formulas.

    Thanks

    Giulia

    Hi Giulia Messina,

I don't know if the combination of #nexel writeback together with Pattern based allocation is supported. So can you try, if its working in a more simple case (cube at leaf level and without pattern based allocation)

    regards

    Björn

  • Hi Björn Reuber,

    at leaf level it works.

    Now I understand.

    Many thanks.
