Switching hard drives (C, D), Mapping, Paths
Hey everyone,
I have a short question about moving the board environment. We now have everything going on the default hard drive C:\. Our administrator stated out that this is not a good way to use the software, he suggested to move everything possible to \.
I've read this article: How To: Use environment variables in BOARD Procedures - Export, Extract and Datareader actions and thought about using mklink to make a link between the places in C:\ and switching everything to \.
Can board use this technique?
Or do you have any other interesting documents about switching everything from one hard drive to another without manually modifying every path in procedures, data readers or else.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Andreas

Dear Andreas Kleinsteuber,
thanks for your request.
To be honest I don´t know if using of mklink will work, I never tested.
The only supported way will be changing all paths manually from the old to the new hard drive.
Hope it helps.
