BOARD Service disappearing
I have an ongoing issue on my local machine where the BOARD service keeps disappearing, and I'm hoping someone can suggest somewhere else to look to try and fix it.
The Server is still installed, but the Service no longer exists. You'll see in the snip below it no longer shows in windows services.....
even though the server is installed
I've tried to 'allow' every BOARD application I can see in my AV, but the Service keeps disappearing, and the only way to resolve it is to uninstall and re-install the BOARD server.

Dear Brendan Broughton,
did you check your local event viewer for any information? Perhaps you find some errors from BOARD Engine and a timestamp.
Please check for the following nodes inside the event viewer.
(Unfortunately my PC is running in German context, therefore I try to translate to english)
The Node is called: Application- and Service Protocols --> Microsoft --> Windows --> Application Server-Applications --> ready
Hope it helps

Thanks for the tip Alexander Kappes , unfortunately the only thing showing in there for the last month is to do with a noncompatible client. I can't see anything in there about the service...unless this noncompatible client error is somehow impacting my local service.
Handling an exception. Exception details: BoardSharedStructures.ClientNotCompatibleException: This client is not compatible with this server.
Client version: 10.5.0.60603, server version: 10.5.1.1.27596I've actually had the service disappear while I've been connected/logged-in and working on something. I can't remember the dates that happened though. Next time it happens I'll check out the viewer straight away and see if it gives any more info.
Thanks again.

Dear Brendan,
that sounds really wired...service disappearing. Did it happen to earlier Board versions as well? did you scan for virus or anything? Or does it happen since a certain windows update?
Did you try another Board release to see if it happens again?
Regards
Susanne

Very weird! It only seems to have started in the last few months, so possibly since I've moved my local to a 10.5, and there is nothing showing in my AV, and everything to do with BOARD is allowed in there.
It's a bit hard to work out what is causing it and if it's a windows update or not. I'll just have to wait until I notice it again then see if I can work it out.
