Load data from MsSql 2016 database

Hi, i need to read data from mssql 2016 /mysql / As400 database, i have create a new connection via Odbc and Olap, but board return this message:

 The check connection is ok...image

 

Server error - Database empty

I have a demo full licenze for 60 days.#

    Hi Marco,


    I am not the super expert on this field, but one of the issues I typically overlooked in the beginning is forgetting to check if the service user of the BOARD Engine (so not my personal account) has access to read from the db.

    The test connection you use in the OLE DB-wizard instead using the "windows NT integrated security" points to your personal account. That is typically the reason why you will see "Test connection succeeded" while still receiving the Server error you just showed.

    Hi Marco,

     

     Not sure if you have tried to use the Username and Password in the connection this is a good/quick way if you are just testing just insure in the RDBMS you have selected MS SQL Server (the user name and password is not the best way as it does show in the connection string but if you are just trialing it as a demo is quicker then maybe creating a windows account which can run the services and creating the account in SQL as well.

    We will be happy to deeply investigate with you the issue, also through a web-meeting if necessary.

     

    Please insert all details (Board Version, log in the "SQL Log" panel after the db empty message...).
