POP-UP window

Hi everyone,

I think this will be a stupid question, anyway, I'd like to create a pop-up window: by clicking a button (or a dataview cell) I'd like to display a dataview inside a pop-up window.

I tried the "dataview options" by configuing a cell as a button and setting a drill to screen, but this open a new screen ...

    Hi Massimo Palmi,

     

    why don't you just define a normal drill-down instead of a drill-to-screen? That way you can modify your after-drill dataview as you want:

    thanks for your replay,

    I'd prefer the same result using a button also because the second layout has a further dimension compared to the first one and the drill doesn't run....

    Hi Massimo Palmi,


    I am not sure if you completely understood Bettina Clausen. As she stated before, you can completely customize your drill-down in any way you want. You can add/remove datablocks, add/remove axis layouts to as many dimensions you want, add filters,... The system will always remember the last change in layout you did when performing a drill down as administrator in developer mode.

    You can also fake a drill-down being popped up from a button/laben, by creating an invisibile dataview on top of it with just one row, but that's quite a cumbersome workaround (I speak from experience ).
