Best steps to create a company master template
Hello all,
I'm very new with Board.
I want to create a master design template for data view with my company CD.
What are the best steps? Has someone a checklist with the best order?
I created a mask with the company logo/design. Then I created a draft screen how I want my tables/charts to be designed. And a screen linked to the mask with buttons where someone whose interested can fade in the data selection.
But how can I get that mask and 2 screen drafts in all my capsules. The idea is that we create for each reporting recipient team their own capsule. Do I have to copy that three elements in each capsule I create?

Hi,
I have not something like a checklist, but I would start like this:
a) Use the Corpoorate Identity Designer (Application Branding ) to adapt the Standard BOARD toolbox objects according to your need and define personal colors
b) Create a template Capsule/Styleguide containing Screen Masks according to your need and one additional help/template screen, where you put a short description for the elements to use (Bar chart only for time, Color grey only for Forecast values, etc)

Hi Annika,
I really like Bjorn's idea of the template capsule/styleguide.
One thing to add if you are using the web client, do not forget that you can customize the logo and landing page background.

From the screenshot (dark grey, dark blue, light grey) I can recognize what I was looking for within this question. block-specific cell border color within a dataview: how ?, namely single colors for single blocks of 1 dataview, also applicable for the border of the blocks. I guess we are all inspired by Mr Hichert's IBCS® standards to design when we display e.g. actuals, budget, previous year figures of a given measure.
Unfortunately I still haven't found how to answer the question. I know it should be doable, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it in a webinar.

I agree with everyone that a styleguide would be helpful. The marketing group of an organization usually has some kind of branding guide that outlines the colors to be used across all marketing material. This is helpful, but I was wondering if anyone has put together a style guide where the marketing team could fill out the guide and then provide the answers we need for a consistent look and feel across screens.
Has anyone put together something like this for a marketing team to fill out, providing developers the details they need for application branding?

I would appreciate more insights into this topic, too.
Björn Reuber, maybe you can share your knowledge with us?
I took first steps with some experimental IBCS developing within BOARD in the past, how about we create a „knowledgebase“ thread sharing our experiences/solutions?
