Replicate a database

Hi Guys,

On a Board server, I want to replicate a capsule + database so that Power users can play with the application without modifying the live one.

I copied the capsule and renamed it as Capsule_training and I did the same for the database. However I don't know how to associate the new database to the capsule,

In Capsule properties, the change database function only allows a renaming of the db, correct ?

Hi Aurore Lb,

"Change Database" in Capsule properties is the correct function.

With the function you can define on which Database the capsule should work.

In the Little sample. After pressing OK all Screens (instead the Multi Database Ones) are working on Echo2.

For the Multi Database Screens you have to Switch the Layouts to other Databases one by one.

Hi,

Please keep in mind, that all DB Procedures from your DB will still point to the original DB and not hte new one (if you havent got used the new feature "run on current DB"
