Database Backup - Expiration Days

I recently used the Expiration Days feature for the first time (set to 7 days) and was surprised that it deleted all backup databases older than 7 days. The action is to backup one database, yet it clears all backup databases older than the limit. Is there a way around this? It seems reasonable that for one database you may want 7 days worth of backups, another database may be 2 days.

Hi,

the logic here is quite "simple". If a file is older than x Days it gets deleted (Cause we doesnt check on name syntax here). If you have different DBs with different Backup Strategy you can use different Folders for the Backups

Thanks Bjorn. I've created additional sub-folders.

For future versions, I think it would be more convenient if the process did check the name syntax.
