Board Screen Design
Board Screen Design is a growing set of documents provided by the Application Design Team (CoE) that define the rules makers must consider when designing screens in Board — covering structure, sizing, color, accessibility, and styling.
The content is organized into two main categories:
1. Design Foundation — the core principles every screen should follow, including Screen Structure, Hierarchy & Grouping; Screen Size, Fit Mode & Scrolling Strategy and Accessibility & Readability, with further foundational topics being added as the framework matures.
2. Practical Guidelines — the applied, component-level rules for putting those principles into practice, including Space Usage & Card Design, Object Sizing & Component Proportions, Color Use & Meaning, Navigation Patterns & Screen Architecture, User Feedback & Guidance, and Custom Application Styling — with more topics currently in progress.
