1) What is your idea?  Enable charts (e.g., a line graph) to display transactional data with a time series X-axis regardless of transaction volumes.
2) What specific problem are you trying to resolve?  Board cannot display data points on a time-based X-axis for at least some chart types.  Commodity trades are displayed as occurring with the same interval of time between them whatever the actual amount of time between their occurrences.  For example, the gap between consecutive trades that happened at 13:04 and 13:05 is the same size as the gap between trades occurring at 13:05 and 16:24 where the 16:24 is the next trade following the 13:05 trade.  The gap on the chart between the 13:05 and 16:24 trades should clearly be larger than the gap between the trades occurring consecutively one minute apart.
3) What workaround have you found or used?  We have aggregated data on charts to display only at a minute level instead of a millisecond level.  This data is then displayed in serial format on the X-axis rather than with a time dimension.
4) What is your role in the organisation?  I am the Programme Manager for my organisation's Data Programme.  We are developing data services for paying customers.
