Firewall guidelines for BOARD Client and Geomap object

Map Images are downloaded by the BOARD client.

Any user who needs to visualize a GeoMap Object needs to have access to the below resources :

  • open connection over port 80 and 8080 
  • http / https connections allowed
  • Verify that you can connect to the tile and map servers: http://{prefix}.tile.openstreetmap.org/ (eg a.tile.openstreetmap.org) 
  • Map are downloaded as PNG images, so download for this file type should be enabled

 

If you have any issue about viewing the map, and you already checked that you can reach the above addresses and connection is fine, you should troubleshoot the connection to the openstreetmap servers directly on their wiki / support. OpenStreetMap Wiki
