dedicated and usable log file for main errors and best visibility

error messages are not immediatly visible and explenation is very small. these errors are tracked, i guess, in daignostic log togheter with a lot of other information.
My ideas:
- errors should appear as a pop up window that is immediatly visible. oftern users don't see that the process they have launched had an error"
- set a dedicated log with these "main" errors. Easy to view, containing essential information for such analyses
