Copy/Paste Tool for Data Reader's ETL
This proposal introduces a copy and paste functionality for ETL configurations within Data Reader objects in Board.
Currently, when working with multiple Data Readers, developers often face the tedious task of manually configuring each ETL setting individually, which in some cases, is common for some Data Readers. This process can be particularly time-consuming and prone to errors, especially in larger implementations where consistency is crucial.
By adding a copy/paste button for ETL configurations, developers would be able to easily duplicate settings from one Data Reader to another, streamlining their workflow and significantly reducing setup time.
As an alternative or addition, incorporating a feature that allows developers to customize the ETL configurations for multiple Data Readers at once would enhance efficiency, enabling bulk adjustments without going through each Data Reader individually.
To ensure data integrity, it would be essential to implement controls that prevent pasting or modifying the ETL settings of Data Readers that don't share the same structure. This safeguard would help avoid configuration errors and ensure that only compatible settings are applied, further enhancing the reliability of the process.
