We are using B14.3 and still this Dynawrite object has a number of bugs and needs to be improved in many areas:
- The toolbar cannot be docked. I first complained about this four years ago, still no improvement. https://community.board.com/discussion/14098/rich-text-box-could-the-toolbar-be-docked-please?utm_source=community-share
- Click the W to download the narrative and it gives the user an error. This is because it picks all Dynawrite on he screen, even one used as a label.
- When the screen is read-only (for users with read-only role), the scroll bars of the Dynawrite box do not work, the user cannot view all.
- Select text inside the Dynawrite box, change to a header or other formatting, the cursor jumps to the top (the selected text does not keep focus).
- The Dynawrite should have a built-in timestamp so that when a user updates the text, their name and timestamp is recorded. Currently this is done outside of the object, but this is per screen and not per Dynawrite box.
- Over the years we continually have issues with the extraction of the narrative from Dynawrite objects.
