Adding Comments or Highlights in Data View
Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to add a comment or note to a cell in Data View.
Moreover, is there a way to highlight or change the color of a specific number within a cell ?
I have been searching for a way to achieve this but have not found any clear instructions or options in the documentation.

Hi @Felipe Pimentel ,
you might think about using the "tooltip by"-option on a block that will display on mouseover. The reference in the tooltip can be a text cube or an algorithm (usually of type text) calculated in the layout.

any comment in the way you want to use it would have to be stored in a cube and that cube needs to be of type "text" - so the comment needs to be in a separate cell (next to the one you want to comment on) and it needs to be data-entry-enabled. You can display the (once input) comment however by using the tooltip in a dataview's block.

Hi Felipe,
The Color Alert feature allows you to define dynamically the format of a cell based on the value of this cell. You can activate this feature at datablock level. Board offers several possibilities that you can review here :
It is also possible to add a note/comment in a cell where the Data Entry is enabled, to do that, make sure that the type of your cube is "text".

Thank you for your response and the information provided. However, I would like to clarify my question.
What I am trying to achieve is similar to the functionality in Excel, where you can add a comment or note directly within a specific cell that contains a number. For instance, if a value needs to be flagged or explained (e.g., because it is incorrect or needs review), I would like to be able to add a comment that is attached to the cell itself, not in a separate cell or field.
Is there a way to add such a comment or note in the same cell in Board, as is done in Excel ?
Moreover, is there a way to highlight or change the color of a specific cell without using the Color Alert feature ? I am trying to highlight a value that needs to remain in the same format as the other cells in the same column. Essentially, I am looking for a way to draw attention to a particular cell without altering the overall formatting of the column.
