New capsule not showing in folder security
I created a new data model and capsule in our sandbox environment and moved it over to production via the cloud admin site. I can assign the data model to different user roles and they show up for the user (Powerusers can see it in the data model section). However, the new capsule won't show up under folders for these same folder security profiles. In the data model, the database profile is set up as read/write and as a builder with all the cubes visible.
Users set up as admins can view both the data model and capsules since they have all access. Is there a step I'm missing or has anyone else come across this issue?
We're on the latest patch of Board version 14.

could you please doublecheck that the new datamodel is part of the standard user profiles (those without admin rights)? The assignment needs to be done in the data models section of the user's profile
This of course needs to be an existing profile in your new database.

Yes, the profile is set up in the database security and is assigned to the role.

What happens if the same user(s) would try to acces the capsules in the sandbox?

@Helmut Heimann so I just need to create a new entity for users in the data model and then use this Sync to Data Model in the subscription hub to tie in users to the new user entity in the data model? Then I can give them visibility to the capsule?

that was just a question from my side to maybe narrow down your issue. The Sync will align user metadata across platforms and enhances the use of a user-entity.
The visbility is controlled via the folder security.
Did you create the same profiles on the sandbox and the production environment?

No I didn't use the Sync, and we didn't use it on any of our other models either.
We don't have the same profiles in Sandbox as production since no one except the developers really use the Sandbox. Also, even when I look in Sandbox, it's not visible there either. I'm wondering if it might just be best to put in a ticket?

I got a message from Support that said it was a known bug and that an upgrade to version B14.1.0.1.239126 that was released on 11/8 would fix it.
