Re: Database Backup - Expiration Days
Thanks Bjorn. I've created additional sub-folders.
For future versions, I think it would be more convenient if the process did check the name syntax.
Re: Load CSV using ASCII when there is missing data
Thank you for your suggestions.
Unfortunately the row length is variable so using character ranges isn't applicable.
Re: Screen Navigation with Procedure breaks Pager
Dear Mark,
Thank you for your request.
Regarding your second post, this behavior is to be expected, when the default value of your pager is out of scope of the applied data selection of the go to screen action.
For example: When the selection applied is 2018, but the default value of the pager is January 2019, the pager is empty. If the selection applied is 2019, the default selection of the pager works fine.
Regarding your first post, a few more details are required to provide a qualified answer. Which Board version are you working on, and is it on web or Windows client?
If you are working on web exclusively, have you tried replacing the pager with a selector, putting the settings to select only one member? The selection to the current period can be easily applied to the selector within the procedure.
Kind regards
Philipp
Re: Not wanted behaviour of Export Excel Flattened
Hi Brendan Broughton,
thanks for your input! Ideally, I really need the excel file so our users can work with it straight.
Extract layout is a very good point, but I only get a text file, it would mean (a bit) more effort in this case, due every user has to convert his file.
Also, the excel add-in isn't available in this case, but I will check for this possibility, thanks!
Kind regards,
Mads
Re: How to insert an empty column?
Hi Hannes,
a solution where you weren't that far away is to activate "Detail by" for Cube 1 and 2 which you find on the Reference tab.
This is how it looks like with the Year on the Column Axis.

(Additionally: if you have a column algorithm with " ", you can add a simple blank space in the Block Heading to avoid the " being shown in the header)
So if you use Detail by year for both Cube 1 and Cube 2 and remove the year in the axis, you will get the following dataview:

But consider the changed behaviour of the dataview: you will now get the cube values "individually", so complete Cube 1 and the Cube 2 following the blank instead of all values year by year.
Best regards from Berlin,
Mads
Edit: ok you really have to be fast to be the first response here :-)
Re: Documentation EXCEL-ADD-IN
Hello Edgars Kancans, Hello Björn Reuber
At First: Thank you for your feedback on EXCEL-ADD-IN.
With the information to the topic bcube(...;functions) I am helped in any case already times!
Björn Reuber: I can hardly answer your question about missing functions here. To make it short: There are a lot of them! I am used to MIK for a variety of different functions on the topics of structures, i.e. entities, business functions, usability, etc. Accordingly my disappointment about the small extent here in the BOARD-EXCEL-ADD-IN was quite big.
So, thanks again for the info!
Dirk
Re: Free your financial planning...
Hi Bob Gill,
I think I'll turn over to my consultant, get the model (if I can get it that easy) and just play around with it.
If I still have any questions, I'll be happy to get back to you!
It would be nice if such resources could also be found here in the forum! But that is, as you say, in the works ;-)
Thanks again for your support!
Re: Upgrading to 10.3
Hi Adam Elvin, Hi Daniel Zillmann
I have no problems with users created via Windows Authentication/SAML.
Users that were created "manually" must actually be deleted and created again!
BUT:

New reporting functions ALWAYS lead to an error her!
The export as pdf or snapshot is not possible, Error-MSG if icon is clicked! The export to Excel seems to work.
Does anyone have any idea if this is due to some configuration setting?
Don't even find the error-number in my logs!
Huups: Dicovered a new logfile: It says: The object reference has not been set to an object instance.
Need some advice ;-)
Re: managing scales of several different charts
Hi interested typ,
As far as I know, your problem can only be solved if you hide the integrated legend and build your own legend with the labels.
Alternatively, you could also label the graphic elements that are not to be displayed with a "blank" and move them to the end of your list.
In this way, the entries are at least visually unimportant.
Does anyone have a better solution?
